#102 Skills and training implications of modern methods of construction: Across design, manufacture and assembly
The global construction industry has faced a persistent productivity crisis. To address this challenge, the industry is moving towards Industrialised Construction (IC), also known as Modern Methods of Construction (MMC). While the technical and commercial aspects of MMC have been well studied, there is still a significant gap in understanding the required workforce transformation to effectively implement these methods. Project #102 aims to address this gap by analysing the workforce implications, training needs and skill development essential for widespread MMC adoption across the Australian built environment value chain.
