Australia faces persistent barriers to digital traceability in the construction industry, creating risks for compliance, rework, substitution, handover quality and asset management. Addressing these barriers requires insights from practice experience to validate how digital traceability operates under real-world conditions.
This project will independently evaluate a digital traceability pilot implemented within a PT Blink-enabled project in Mackay. By evaluating data integrity, operational feasibility and stakeholder value, the research will generate direct insights into performance in a commercial setting. This structured approach will provide scalable frameworks for the implementation and governance of digital traceability within the broader Australian construction sector.
This project builds on Project #2, which assessed existing and emerging tracking technologies.
