
Structural Optimisation Dr Tai Thai
Dr Thai is an ARC Future Fellow and Professor of Structural Engineering at The University of Melbourne (UoM). Prior to joining UoM, he was a Senior Lecturer at La Trobe University, an ARC DECRA Fellow at UNSW, and a Postdoctoral Fellow at Hanyang University and Sejong University. He is a Fellow of Engineers Australia (FIEAust) and a Chartered Member of Engineers Australia (CPEng) and The Institution of Structural Engineers (MIStructE). His research interests have been in the areas of modular buildings and connections, steel structures, steel-concrete composite structures, high-strength concrete, cold-formed steel structures, structural robustness, structural reliability, structural fire engineering, advanced analysis and design, and computational mechanics.
