UoM Department of Management and Marketing: Supply Chain
This department works on supply chain strategy, design and performance. This involves a mix of approaches from empirical studies and case studies shedding light on ‘what works’, through to more prescriptive, analytic and other decision models of supply chain and operations management. In supply chain management related to building, this can be applied to issues of scale, cost, quality, customisation, capacity, flexibility, technology, innovation systems effectiveness and other elements of what makes for an effective supply chain and business strategy.
Facilities: This is a business management department, with software in place needed to conduct their modelling.
