QUT Construction Health and Safety
The team has expertise in construction engineering and management; cognitive and organisational psychology; and, adopting quantitative and qualitative research methods to tackle interdisciplinary safety problems in the construction industry. They have expertise in utilising the latest technology and construction informatics (e.g. BIM) to reduce accidents; developing safety management tools; conducting cognitive behavioural experiments to develop an innovative safety training tool to change risk perception of construction workers; and, using mathematical modelling to develop a model for improving mental health in construction.
Facilities: Centre for Accident Research and Road Safety – Queensland (CARRS-Q) to conduct accident research.
