Monash Prof. Amrik Sohal (B. Eng. (Hons), MBA, PhD), Department of Management, Monash Business School

Amrik Sohal is Professor of Management and Co-ordinator/Lead for the Global Value Chains Research Network, Centre for Global Business. He graduated from the University of Bradford (UK) in mechanical engineering with honours. His PhD was in operations management, and his current research focuses on implementation issues, especially those relating to strategies, technology and new production methods. Amrik has completed numerous projects funded by the ARC, government departments and industry. His interest in the building industry relates to quality control/management, operations management, new technologies, Lean methods, supply chain management and sustainability/circular economy. Amrik has published over 250 journal articles and has supervised over 30 PhD students.

Facilities: Professor Sohal has access to excellent research infrastructure and world-class library and computing facilities. He has skills in conducting both qualitative and quantitative research studies and has access to all necessary databases and online survey tools. He also has access to the Monash Business Behavioural Lab based at the Caulfield campus.
