Dr Shahed Khan
Shahed Khan earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering (Honors and Magna Cum Laude) from University of Alabama at Birmingham, USA in 2013. He was awarded 1st prize in the final year design competition. He was also the recipient of Francis Dupuis, Pushpamala Deosthale International Programs and Rotary Spain Hickman Estess International Scholarships.
He completed his PhD at the Department of Electrical and Computer Systems Engineering in Monash University, where he researched ‘Cybersecurity in Chipless RFID’. This research explores how RFID can be used to track material shortages, supply delays, waste, damage, price fluctuations and storage space for materials in real time. The aim is to produce better project schedule estimates.
He has received Monash Co-Funded Graduate and Faculty of Engineering International Postgraduate Research Scholarships. He worked with Building 4.0 CRC to research implementing “RFID System for Real Time Tracking of Inventory, Equipment, Workforce and Safety in Construction Industry”.
PhD Start and End Dates
Shahed received his PhD in 2025. He is an Assistant Lecturer at Monash University.
