Dr Richard Nero
Dr Richard Nero is a researcher at the University of Melbourne in the field of sustainable construction materials and advanced timber systems. His work focuses on the development and behaviour assessment of high-performance engineered wood products (EWPs) and composite timber systems. His research integrates statistical and numerical modeling, reliability analysis and experimental testing to improve the structural efficiency and sustainability of construction materials.
Richard was PhD student with Building 4.0 CRC, graduating in 2023. Before beginning his PhD, he had 4 years of industry experience working as a structural engineer across a range of residential, office and retail high-rise projects in the CBD.
