Rebecca Dickson

Rebecca is a PhD Student at Monash University undertaking research into construction law reform in Australia. The focus points of Rebecca’s research include the regulation of the construction industry, the poor state of mental health of those who work in the industry, and the allocation of project risks in major Australian construction projects. Rebecca is the author of publications relating to collaborative contracting and the impact of COVID-19 on Australia’s construction law.

Rebecca has practised as a construction lawyer for over 10 years, in law firms and as in house counsel. She specialises in construction contract drafting and negotiation and has supported the delivery of the Port Capacity Project for the then Port of Melbourne Corporation and Melbourne Airport’s Third Runway Program.

Rebecca is the Head of Legal at John Beever (AUST.). John Beever is a mechanical, electrical and civil contractor within the ACCIONA Australia New Zealand group and it is currently delivering Australia’s first and second waste to energy facilities in Western Australia.
