Nazli Soltanmohammadlou
Nazli holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil engineering and a Master of Science degree in restoration and rehabilitation of historical buildings and urban fabric from the art University of Tehran.
Originally from Iran, Nazli has always had a growing interest in safety in construction sites, and has been investigating construction safety since 2018. Specifically, she investigates automatic safety in construction sites. Her research involved developing a socio-technical model to analyse the safety of plant and machinery using a system thinking perspective. She analysed accidents and conducted interviews and surveys with industry stakeholders.
PhD Start and End Dates
Nazli will submit her thesis in December 2025. She is working at QUT, including on Building 4.0 CRC Project #97 (Self Storage Association of Australasia Digital Platform Development).
