Dr Mohammad Sadegh Aslanpour
Mohammad was a PhD student at Monash University and CSIRO’s DATA61, Australia. His research interests included Cloud, Edge, and Serverless Computing—where self-adaptive, efficient and green solutions are desired.
Edge computing brings computer servers closer to the data source. It can be environmentally friendly if powered by renewable energy sources, but such sources are variable and limited, jeopardising service quality. Mohammad’s research proposed self-adaptive software systems that achieve energy awareness through resource scheduling algorithms.
Applications of his research are related to the Internet of Things (IoT), from Smart City to Smart Agriculture and Industrial IoT. He was a recipient of the best paper award/nomination from AusPDC & ICSOC conferences, as well as research funding, grant, and scholarships from Monash University, CSIRO, and Building 4.0 CRC.
PhD Start and End Dates
