Gihan Ranasinghe

Gihan Ranasinghe graduated with a B.Sc. Eng (2018) & M.Sc. (2020) from the University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka. He worked as a Graduate Research Assistant for one and half years and a Civil Engineer for one year before commencing his PhD study at QUT in October 2021.

Gihan Ranasinghe’s current research aims to investigate the behaviour of light gauge steel framed (LSF) truss floor-ceiling systems under ambient and fire conditions and develop suitable fire design guidelines to predict the fire resistance levels (FRLs) of various arrangements of LSF truss floor-ceiling systems using experimental and numerical studies.
