Research Development Manager Fraser Paxton

Fraser Paxton brings experience as an architect and researcher and expertise from time spent in the industry, specialising in the manufacturing and assembly of prefabricated building projects locally and overseas.

Within the CRC, Fraser’s role is coordinating project concept initiation, development and handover for execution. This process entails the iterative development of ideas from inception, working with various stakeholders within the CRC to advance projects to the research stage.

Fraser has a specialist skillset in research and design for prefabrication and assembly, having significant experience and expertise in many forms of prefabrication, including panelised, volumetric, and smaller component-based building systems. He has travelled widely in his ongoing research into prefabrication techniques through Sweden and Japan. Locally, he has spent significant time in the offsite construction industry, working on local and international projects. Fraser brings a range of experience from architecture and design to research and education, moving towards a more progressive and sustainable future in the construction industry and the built environment.
