Fernando Pavez
Fernando is a Chilean architect, sustainability consultant, certified Passivhaus Designer and researcher.
He founded RUKKUM sustainability strategies consultants, co-founded Red Campus Sustentable (an NGO for sustainability advancement in HEIs), and then researched ‘Circular Building’ as a PhD candidate at Monash University with the support of the B4.0CRC. In particular, he is explored collaboration strategies using social network analysis to design an effective collaboration process for circular construction business networks.
He is most excited about learning and creating solutions to real-life problems. Since studying for his Master of Design Science in Sustainable Design at Sydney University, he’s led, designed, spoken, lectured and consulted on energy efficiency and carbon neutrality projects throughout Chile (and lately also in Australia and New Zealand).
PhD Start and End Dates
Fernando submitted his thesis for assessment in September 2025. He is working at Monash University.
