Fatheen Hisham
Fatheen graduated with a B.Sc. Eng (2019) with First Class Honours from University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka. He accrued over 2 years of experience in the construction industry before embarking on his PhD studies at Queensland University of Technology (QUT).
Fatheen’s current research aims to investigate the fire resistance behaviour of light gauge steel framed (LSF) floor-ceiling systems made of lipped channel joists through experimental and numerical studies and to develop suitable fire design guidelines to predict the fire resistance levels (FRLs) across a range of LSF floor-ceiling system configurations.
PhD Start and End Dates
Fatheen submitted his thesis for assessment in December 2024. He is a fire consultant with Bloom Fire Consulting.
