Digitising and 3D Modelling of Physical Assets Dr Kourosh Khoshelham
Kourosh received his PhD degree in Geoinformatics from Hong Kong Polytechnic University in 2004 and held assistant professor positions at Delft University of Technology and University of Twente before moving to the University of Melbourne in 2015. He has co-authored over 140 refereed publications on topics related to mapping, 3D modelling, positioning and navigation. He is actively involved in the International Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (ISPRS) where he is Co-chair of WG IV/5 and leads the ISPRS Benchmark on Indoor Modelling.
Kourosh’s core expertise is mapping and 3D modelling of natural and built environments using photogrammetry and lidar technologies. His research interests also include positioning and navigation in indoor environments, augmented reality, and development of deep learning methods for automated interpretation of imagery and point clouds.
