IoT, Sensors and Construction Tech Dr Aravinda Rao

Aravinda is a Research Fellow at The University of Melbourne. His primary research interests are in Internet of Things (IoT), Computer Vision and Machine Learning. His research focuses on designing intelligent IoT systems and algorithms for real-time applications by harnessing the power machine learning and artificial intelligence (AI). He is an expert in designing computer vision algorithms to analyse crowd behaviour from surveillance videos, such as to detect suspicious activities, count people, and track human movements. He has extensive experience in designing and deploying IoT systems for real-time Smart City applications, including urban canopy cover monitoring, noise monitoring and water quality management.
