Yimin undertook his PhD in Civil Engineering at Monash University. He has a strong educational background in Civil Engineering from the University of Sydney (2017) and a Master’s in Property and Development from the University of New South Wales (2018).

Yimin’s research explores how product platforms enable dynamic capability in industrialised house building firms and innovative construction business models in response to turbulent market conditions. By offering a structured approach to innovation and emphasising innovation, it aims to provide tools for firms to maximise value in their operations.

As a research assistant on two Building 4.0 CRC projects, Yimin aimed to bring new ways for the construction industry to create, deliver and capture value for customers.

PhD Start and End Dates
Yimin submitted his thesis for assessment in 2026. He is currently a Teaching Assistant at the University of Melbourne.
