Industrialised House Building Alexandra McRobert

Alexandra recently completed her PhD as part of the Future Building Initiative at Monash University, which focused on holistic approaches to knowledge transfer and integration within housebuilding. This encompasses the many aspects of housebuilding including land use, planning, policy, development, finance, and tenure/ownership, as well as design and construction. She has also worked in conjunction with industry partners on prefabricated and industrialised housebuilding research. This research has been complimented by her experience in architecture industry, working as a project coordinator to design and deliver housing across a number of scales from granny flats through to large mixed-use sustainable developments. Through her studies and career, Alexandra has also completed a number of research trips and practical design-build studios across Europe, Asia, the USA, and Central America.
