Tu is currently a Research Fellow in the Department of Infrastructure Engineering at the University of Melbourne. He completed his PhD degree in Civil Engineering at the University of Melbourne in 2021. Tu is a member of the Advanced Protective Technologies for Engineering Structures (APTES) group, which is one of the leading centres in the development of innovative materials and structural systems using computational techniques. His research interests focus on structural testing of engineered wood products, bio-inspired structures and systems, extreme loadings, computational design and advanced manufacturing. Tu Le has acquired several years of experience in building construction and prefabricated modular construction as a Civil/Structural Engineer overseas, as well as a research assistant at the University of Melbourne.
