
Engagement & Education Leader Dr Sarah Breen Lovett
In addition to this position, Sarah is an Adjunct Research Fellow at Monash University, and most recently has been employed as researcher and manager of the Innovation in Applied Design Lab at University of Sydney and Future Building Initiative at Monash University.
Sarah completed a PhD in Architecture with a thesis titled “Expanded Architectural Awareness”, a Bachelor of Interior Design (First Class Honours), as well as a Bachelor and Masters of Architecture.
Her dedicated architectural and interior design career spanned 10 years on numerous residential, commercial, and industrial projects in Sydney and London. Following this, Sarah was an academic for over 10 years at the University of Sydney, University of Technology Sydney, and Monash University, where she tutored, coordinated, and lectured in various design studios and electives. During this period she most notably co-curated of the Cinecity Architectural Film as part of the Australian Institute of Architects Conference for four years; directed the Expanded Architecture Exhibitions, which were held over four years as part of the Sydney Architecture festival; and co-directed the first Annual Design Research Conference at University of Sydney.
Sarah continues to publish, curate, present, and exhibit nationally and internationally.
