We are pleased to announce the opening of our fourth quarterly (Q16) Expression of Interest (EOI) round focusing on 4.0 Housing Innovation: Quality, Sustainability, Affordability.

Proposals are due no later than 11:59pm Friday 14 June 2024 (AEST). Successful applicants will be notified by 19 June 2024. Successful projects are expected to commence research activity by September 2024.

Proposals should focus on any of the Building 4.0 CRC themes – Sustainability, Digitalisation, Industrialisation, and People, Practices & Culture – with solutions and innovation that will aid Australia’s current housing shortage and affordability crises. Projects of 1-3 years duration are possible.

Priority will be given to research proposals supported by one or more industry partners who have indicated financial support and the capacity to provide active research collaboration on the project.

To ensure successful review of your submission, verbal or written confirmation of project funding provided by the nominated industry partner(s) must be recorded on the EOI form.

If you wish to nominate an existing CRC consortium partner, you are required to contact the university Program Lead at your institution (Prof. Tuan Ngo at the University of Melbourne, Dr Duncan Maxwell at Monash University, or Dr Sara Omrani at Queensland University of Technology) prior to contacting partners directly. New industry partners not currently part of Building 4.0 CRC are encouraged and welcomed to join your proposal.

If you are an academic staff member at Monash University, the University of Melbourne or QUT, please submit your proposal via this webform:
